Dr Gwenda Lowe
Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Gwenda graduated from The University of Sydney, and has had many years' experience working in several busy small animal practices in Singapore before taking up the role of founding veterinarian at Brighton Vet Care (BVC). She aspires for BVC to be a practice that cares for all patients holistically.

She has developed a wide and varied experience in treating animals (canine, feline, rabbits, terrapins, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, hedgehogs, chinchillas etc).

Dr Gwenda has undergone further training in Ultrasound, Dentistry (canine/feline and pocket pets), Endoscopy (canine/feline, pocket pets and exotics), Laparoscopy (canine/feline), Feline and Canine medicine.

In her free time, Dr Gwenda enjoys giving educational talks, volunteering at shelters and teaching new tricks to Pascal her rescued cat and Polette the Golden Retriever.

Dr Jessica Kuek
Veterinary Surgeon

Dr. Jessica Kuek graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia and moved back to Singapore to work after graduation.

After a few years working in general practice, Dr. Jessica decided pursue her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, moving to Hong Kong to work and in 2017, gained accreditation with the Chi Institute.

Dr. Jessica believes that client education is the best form of preventative medicine for animals and has built strong vet - client relationships wherever she goes.

In her spare time, Dr. Jessica spends it in the kitchen, enjoying both aspects of cooking and baking, and playing with her rescue cat, Max.

Dr Melissa Ho
Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Melissa graduated from The University of Melbourne, and had been working in a busy small animal practice in Singapore for several years before joining the team at Brighton Vet Care. During that period, she gained experience in treating many types of pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and terrapins.

She strives to provide quality medical care for all our furry companions, and is interested in all aspects of soft tissue surgery. She believes that continued education is crucial in upgrading relevant knowledge and skills, and is looking to pursue further courses in the veterinary field.

Dr Melissa shares her home with a naughty Shetland Sheepdog, whose greatest joy in life is finding food unexpectedly. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, being a foodie and just spending quality time with family and friends. She also loves traveling to explore new cities and cultures.

Dr Tan Ying Lin
Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Ying Lin graduated from The University of Melbourne, where she gained valuable experience in working with a wide variety of animals during her clinical placements, including birds and a variety of wildlife. She also holds a degree in Life Sciences from NUS, where she studied and developed a keen interest in ecology, which helped shape a deeper appreciation for the weird and wonderful avian and exotic animals.

Her areas of interest include exotic animal medicine, anaesthesia and all areas of diagnostics ranging from imaging, clinical and anatomical pathology, in which she is hoping to pursue continuing education in these areas.

Dr Ying Lin is currently the proud mother of a feisty peach-faced lovebird, and a cat which she picked off the streets in Melbourne. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandmothers, catching up with the latest korean dramas and playing the cello.

Yi Xian Goh
Veterinary Technician

Yi Xian graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience. Since then, he has been working as a veterinary technician in small animal practice. Yi Xian has a love for animals since young, and this has blossomed into a passion for helping them. He wishes to help improve the bond between our furry friends and their owners through his work as a Veterinary Technician. Yi Xian has a natural curiosity for the science behind the medical and diagnostic care that animals receive, and thus he hopes to further his education in veterinary nursing in the future.

Yi Xian has a love for adventure and wildlife, and goes trekking or diving during his free time. He also wishes to have a dog in his family in the future.

Currently, he is pursuing the Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice course, which he is expected to complete in 2018.

Xaviera Ong
Veterinary Nurse

Xaviera has a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Forensics and Information Security and Business Information Systems from Murdoch University. However, she found a greater calling in the veterinary industry, because she loves the companionship animals provide. Her passion has grown even stronger ever since she got the opportunity to work with them. Xaviera hopes to gain valuable experience here that will aid her pursuit of a course in veterinary nursing in the future.

Xaviera is a proud parent of a pair of As (Ace the Shihtzu and Ash the Pembroke Welsh Corgi). She loves bringing them out as she understands the importance of socialization. In her free time, Xaviera volunteers with a group of friends to feed and care for the less fortunate strays.

Millicent Goh
Veterinary Nurse

Millicent graduated from Australia in Certificate III in Racing (Trackriding) and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Millicent (or Millie, as she's known to us) has always had a love for animals when she was younger and wanted to work with them her whole life. In her free time, Millie enjoyed visiting the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) to spend time with the animals there giving them baths and cuddles. She also found a great sense of peace and joy when she was volunteering at Dog’s Refuge Home and Riding for Disabled by interacting with the animals and the people. Millie enjoys outdoor activities such as horse riding, hiking and trekking. She loves spending time with nature and discovering new places and new people.

Millie has had a variety of pets growing up and now she currently has 2 beautiful Labradors by the name Russel and Keeper whose favourite hobby is eating.

Dr Bernie Rosalita
DVM Veterinary Technician

Bernie graduated in 2013 with a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Southern Mindanao, Philippines. He worked as a Veterinarian in the Philippines for 3 years before coming to Singapore as a veterinary technician to further enhance his skills, ability and knowledge in the small animal practice.

Bernie believes that all animals especially the terminal ill patients should be treated with passion and best quality healthcare. He loves animals and has 4 dogs and 3 cats back in the Philippines. Bernie loves sports, adventure and music that he does during his free time.

Ahmat Sharezza
Veterinary Nurse

Ahmat graduated from University Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor of Agriculture (Animal Science) in 2016. During his years of studies, he did work practices at Ayamas Integrated Poultry Industry managing broiler chicken by maintaining the biosecurity in poultry farm. He also did a few months of work practice at Johor Corporation handling beef cattle in feedlot farm. Here he learnt stress management in animals in terms of transporting them from one place to another.

After graduating, Ahmat worked in the customer service line to enhance his skills in communication. This is because he believes that customers should be heard and understood so as to provide better care for their pets. He believes that there is nothing more rewarding than to follow his passion in caring and looking after animals.

During his free time, Ahmat loves playing sports such as rugby and travelling. He has 3 adorable cats at home by the name of Netty, Chomel and Chomot.

Rachel Sng
Veterinary Nurse

Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Behavioural Studies from Monash University (Melbourne). After graduating, she went on in life, working in diverse industries from Tourism to F&B, in search for a field where she felt truly comfortable in. One day, she decided to be brave and left her previous job in Bangkok, returned to Singapore, in order to chase her life-long interest in Veterinary Nursing. She has not looked back ever since and intends to pursue a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing to gain better knowledge on providing the best care for her patients.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys knitting/crocheting, singing in the shower and snuggling up with her two Shih Tzus on the couch.

Jonathan Jian
Veterinary Nurse

Jonathan is a dedicated vet nurse with four years of working experience. His passion for his veterinary work led him to further his studies while working as a nurse early on. Despite the challenge of balancing work and part time studies,  Jonathan graduated from Animal Industries Resource Centre with Certificate II, III, and IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Jonathan grew up with a variety of different animals since young and he loves animals of all sorts, especially reptiles. In his free time, Jonathan also enjoy skateboarding, trekking, beach holidays and spending time with his family.
