Dr. Gwenda graduated from The University of Sydney and has had many years' experience working in several busy small animal practices in Singapore before taking up the role of founding veterinarian at Brighton Vet Care (BVC). She aspires for BVC to be a practice that cares for all patients holistically.
She has developed a wide and varied experience in treating animals (canine, feline, rabbits, terrapins, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, hedgehogs, chinchillas, etc).
Dr. Gwenda has undergone further training in Ultrasound, Dentistry (canine/feline and pocket pets), Endoscopy (canine/feline, pocket pets and exotics) and Laparoscopy.
In her free time, Dr. Gwenda enjoys giving educational talks, volunteering at shelters and teaching new tricks to Pascal her rescued cat.

Dr. Melisa Lukito
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Lukito is a graduate of The University of Melbourne, where she gained extensive hands-on experience through placements in various animal and wildlife hospitals. Notably, she was part of the 2023 Indigenous Animal Health Programme in Australia that runs a charity mobile vet clinic for the Shepparton Indigenous community.
With a longstanding passion for the veterinary field, Dr. Lukito has worked in emergency, general, and exotic vet practices during her university tenure. Her professional interests have evolved to focus on soft tissue surgery and exotic animal medicine. She is dedicated to providing the best care possible to pets of all kinds.
In her leisure time, Dr. Lukito enjoys soaking up the sun with her three red-eared sliders (Miracle, Mochi, Marble) and strumming tunes on the ukulele.

Dr. Heng Jean Ai
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Jean graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and has a strong passion for looking after the health and wellbeing of our furry companions. Following multiple clinical placements across Australia and Singapore, she returned to sunny Singapore, where she gained experience across a variety of veterinary clinics before joining Brighton Veterinary Care.
Her clinical interests include making full use of diagnostic imaging for the early detection and diagnosis of disease, as well as internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She takes a compassionate and individualised approach to every patient, with an emphasis on clear communication and client education to help pet owners make informed decisions about their pets’ health.
Dr. Jean is a strong advocate for continuing education and keeping up to date with advances in veterinary medicine. She has pursued further training in small animal ultrasonography, completing the Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ultrasound (Melbourne), as well as further studies in internal medicine, obtaining her GPCert (Small Animal Medicine).

Dr. Joyce Lin

Dr Joyce Lin graduated from Murdoch University and is a small-animal veterinarian with clinical interests in internal medicine and surgery. She believes every furry family member should be treated with patience, kindness, and respect, and understands that vet visits can be emotional. She values a calm, thoughtful approach and clear communication at every stage of care.
At home, she shares her life with four cats and a dog and has a special soft spot for Shih Tzus. Because of them, she truly understands the love and worry families feel, and brings that understanding into the care of every furry family member she meets.

Dr. Lim Zi Teng
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Lim Zi Teng graduated from the University of Glasgow and is a small animal veterinarian with special interests in soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging. After working in a busy small animal hospital in the United Kingdom, she returned to Singapore to continue her veterinary career.
She takes a practical and patient approach to each case and believes strongly in keeping pet owners well informed about the different care options available for their pets. Dr Lim values open communication and strives to make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both pets and their families.
Dr. Lim has a special love for cats and adopted her own cat during her polytechnic days, with whom she loves spending her days off relaxing with. This has helped her truly understand the strong bond between pets and their families, which she brings into every consultation.

Dr. Natasha graduated from The University of Melbourne. She has gained experience across a range of fields in Melbourne, Singapore and South Africa, notably with wildlife, equine and small animal medicine.
Her professional interests currently lie in diagnostic imaging and exotic animal medicine. She is passionate about continually expanding her knowledge and skills across a wide range of animal species, ensuring she can provide the highest standard of care in any scenario to suit each individual patient.
Outside of work, Dr. Natasha cherishes every moment with her beloved dogs, Wolfie, Chrissy and Bentley, and sweet ragamuffin Maisy.
She also loves being active and outdoors, whether on horseback, playing a game of tennis, or simply soaking up nature.

Dr. Jocelyn graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) in 2021. Since graduating, she has worked in small animal practice, providing compassionate and evidence-based care to a wide range of canine and feline patients.
She has a particular interest in veterinary ophthalmology and surgery and enjoys helping pets achieve the best possible quality of life through accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans. Dr. Jocelyn believes in treating every patient as if they were her own pet and strives to find solutions that are in the best interests of both her patients and their families.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her Border Collie, Hubert, and her two cats, Warren and Gary. On her days off, you’ll most likely find her with her pets, exploring new activities with them, or simply enjoying quality time together.

Having journeyed with her late dog Cookie who had a brain tumour, she understands how anxiety-inducing and stressful it can be for pet owners whose pets are ill. She strives to be a veterinarian who is there for her patients and their families on difficult days.
Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her cheeky chihuahua Cream, her loved ones and travelling.

Dr. Clarice Ong is committed to providing compassionate veterinary care to every patient and believes in treating pet owners and their beloved furry family members with sincerity, patience and respect. Inspired to become a veterinarian following the loss of her senior dog, Dr. Clarice understands the emotional challenges that come with caring for a beloved pet. This personal experience continues to shape her dedication to be a trusted source of support throughout every stage of a pet’s healthcare journey.
Dr. Clarice graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (with Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh and developed a strong interest in small animal medicine, particularly ophthalmology and cardiology. She has gained experience through a variety of general practice and emergency clinics across Singapore and the United Kingdom, caring for pets and their owners from all walks of life. This has reinforced her belief in an open-communication approach, working closely with pet owners to achieve the best possible outcomes for their beloved companions.
With a heart for animals, Dr. Clarice continues to enjoy horse riding since the age of nine, and seek out volunteering opportunities with animals. She has since volunteered at SPCA and equine-assisted therapy programmes for youths with special needs both locally and in London. Spending quality time with her family and listening to music is what she does in her free time.

Dr. Toh graduated from University of Queensland. During her final year, she had the opportunity to be involved in a rabies control project in Sri Lanka. She has also undergone placements at local and overseas clinics and hospitals, gaining experience during veterinary school.
She enjoys working up cases in a systematic manner and loves to see her patients get better in health. She is interested in small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging, in particular ultrasound.
She loves to spend her free time with her crazy cat Simba, family and friends. She also enjoys sports playing tennis and softball.

Dr. Wong Ming -En
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Ming-En Wong graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. During her time in university, she started to develop a special interest in small animal internal medicine. She was also given the opportunity to travel to Thailand to provide veterinary care for the stray dog population and improve their welfare. After graduating, she went on to practice for a couple of years in Australia before returning home to Singapore and joined the Brighton Vet Care team soon after.
Dr. Ming-En enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine in general practice and is currently exploring all it has to offer. She looks forward to working closely with owners to provide the best care possible for her patients. Having a particular fondness for pugs, she hopes to further her skills and knowledge regarding this special breed and improve their quality of life.
In her spare time, Dr. Ming-En can be found baking and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Janine Swart
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Janine obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. During her clinical training, she completed a mixed-practice externship in the United States. After graduating, she worked for the South African government as an animal shelter veterinarian spending most of her time in surgical theatre, where she developed a strong and lasting interest in surgery. During this period, she also worked at a provincial laboratory, performing post-mortem examinations primarily focused on disease surveillance and control in domestic, large, and wild animals.
She later spent five years working as a locum veterinarian across the United Kingdom and South Africa, an experience that strengthened her adaptability and ability to integrate into diverse and constant changing practice environments while also satisfying her passion for travel. She is now looking forward to continuing her journey in Singapore, with the goal of further refining her surgical and general clinical skills while embracing the culture of Asia.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors with family and friends and returns to the African bush whenever the opportunity arises.

Dr. Nicholas Quek
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Nicholas first graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore, before heading to Australia and obtaining a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Murdoch University. He then returned to Singapore and started working in general practice before undertaking an discipline specific internship in Small Animal Internal medicine at a busy referral centre in Singapore, concurrent with work in the emergency department. He has since returned to general practice and is keen to put everything he has learnt to use.
Dr. Nicholas' main area of interest lies in Internal Medicine, but he also has a soft spot for wildlife rehabilitation, having worked with injured wildlife throughout his time in Perth. He finds the most fulfilling part of being a vet being able to work together with clients to find the best possible solution based on their unique needs and circumstances, and strongly believes that the gold standard for each individual person and animal looks different.
During his time away from work, you can find Dr Nicholas playing the guitar and singing (poorly), model making and enjoying stories in all forms of media!

Dr. Melissa graduated from The University of Melbourne, and had been working in a busy small animal practice in Singapore for several years before joining the team at Brighton Vet Care. During that period, she gained experience in treating many types of pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and terrapins.
She strives to provide quality medical care for all our furry companions, and is interested in all aspects of soft tissue surgery. She believes that continued education is crucial in upgrading relevant knowledge and skills, and is looking to pursue further courses in the veterinary field.
Dr. Melissa shares her home with a naughty Shetland Sheepdog, whose greatest joy in life is finding food unexpectedly. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, being a foodie and just spending quality time with family and friends. She also loves traveling to explore new cities and cultures.

Dr. Eunice Kok graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia, gaining experiences from working with different animal species while pursuing her DVM degree in Melbourne. She also ventured to countries such as Hong Kong and South Africa to gain experience with wildlife, which includes giant pandas, cheetahs, leopards and the African felines.
Dr. Eunice Kok has always loved animals as a young child, and have a deep passion in medicine and working with small animals. She is interested in soft tissue surgery and medicine, and also has a special interest in small mammals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. She comes with extensive pocket pet experience, having worked at a clinic in Melbourne with a high caseload in exotic animals like ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs and rats, before moving to Singapore to continue her dream.
In her personal life, Dr. Eunice Kok grew up with 2 beautiful mini Schnauzers named Cream and Milk, and currently has a Domestic Medium Hair Cat named Truffle which she adopted back when she was in Melbourne.

Dr. Vanessa Setiawan graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery and has a strong passion for general practice medicine, particularly internal medicine. She believes that great veterinary care is built on trust, open communication, and genuine understanding between veterinarians, pets, and their owners.
Her approach to care was shaped during her clinical training in the United Kingdom, where she spent much of her rotations working with PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals), a charity practice. Through these experiences, Dr Vanessa developed a deep appreciation for the special bond shared between pets and their families, and she is committed to supporting this relationship with compassionate, thoughtful care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Vanessa enjoys listening to music, discovering new coffee spots, reading a good book, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is also a proud rabbit owner to a cheeky Holland Lop named Moon.
