![]() Dr. Gwenda Lowe Dr. Gwenda graduated from The University of Sydney and has had many years' experience working in several busy small animal practices in Singapore before taking up the role of founding veterinarian at Brighton Vet Care (BVC). She aspires for BVC to be a practice that cares for all patients holistically. She has developed a wide and varied experience in treating animals (canine, feline, rabbits, terrapins, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, hedgehogs, chinchillas, etc). Dr. Gwenda has undergone further training in Ultrasound, Dentistry (canine/feline and pocket pets), Endoscopy (canine/feline, pocket pets and exotics), Laparoscopy (canine/feline), Feline and Canine medicine. In her free time, Dr. Gwenda enjoys giving educational talks, volunteering at shelters and teaching new tricks to Pascal her rescued cat and Polette the Golden Retriever.

![]() Dr. Melissa Ho Dr. Melissa graduated from The University of Melbourne, and had been working in a busy small animal practice in Singapore for several years before joining the team at Brighton Vet Care. During that period, she gained experience in treating many types of pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and terrapins. She strives to provide quality medical care for all our furry companions, and is interested in all aspects of soft tissue surgery. She believes that continued education is crucial in upgrading relevant knowledge and skills, and is looking to pursue further courses in the veterinary field. Dr. Melissa shares her home with a naughty Shetland Sheepdog, whose greatest joy in life is finding food unexpectedly. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, being a foodie and just spending quality time with family and friends. She also loves traveling to explore new cities and cultures.

![]() Dr. Wong Min Zhi Dr. Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne. She has done clinical work around Australia and Singapore, during which she developed keen interest in ultrasonography and internal medicine. She also finds the challenges of emergency and critical care to be greatly rewarding. She hopes to further develop her skills in these areas and strives to provide the best care and treatment for her patients. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and exploring new places to eat.

![]() Dr. Toh Ming Hui Dr. Toh graduated from University of Queensland. During her final year, she had the opportunity to be involved in a rabies control project in Sri Lanka. She has also undergone placements at local and overseas clinics and hospitals, gaining experience during veterinary school. She enjoys working up cases in a systematic manner and loves to see her patients get better in health. She is interested in small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging, in particular ultrasound. She loves to spend her free time with her crazy cat Simba, family and friends. She also enjoys sports playing tennis and softball.

![]() Dr. Ailin Tan Dr. Ailin Tan graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. During university, she travelled in and out of Australia for various clinical placements with exotics and wildlife. She then spent several years working in Perth and Singapore before joining the team at Brighton Vet Care. Dr. Ailin is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine; and has developed a keen interest in small animal internal medicine. Additionally, she finds the challenges of pocket pet medicine to be highly rewarding. Dr. Ailin enjoys building a rapport with clients; and always strives to provide the best care to all her patients. ![]() Dr. Theresa Thang Growing up, Dr. Theresa always had a love for animals. Her additional interest in medicine sprouted her to pursue Veterinary Medicine as a means to combine both her loves and interest. After graduating from the University of Sydney, Dr. Theresa has been working in Singapore for several years. She brings with her experiences from working at several other clinics in Singapore to serve at Brighton Vet Care. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine but has developed an avid interest in Surgery and Dentisty, aiming to further develop her skills in these areas. She has taken courses to further improve her knowledge in the multiple fields of veterinary medicine, including but not limited to pocket pets and veterinary dentistry. She is always constantly committed to upgrading herself so as to provide the best quality of care for all of her patients. In her free time, Dr. Theresa tries to continue growing in other aspects of life, such as improving on her baking, picking up new skills like sewing and recently trying to learn French.

![]() Dr. Wong Ming -En Dr. Ming-En Wong graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. During her time in university, she started to develop a special interest in small animal internal medicine. She was also given the opportunity to travel to Thailand to provide veterinary care for the stray dog population and improve their welfare. After graduating, she went on to practice for a couple of years in Australia before returning home to Singapore and joined the Brighton Vet Care team soon after. Dr. Ming-En enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine in general practice and is currently exploring all it has to offer. She looks forward to working closely with owners to provide the best care possible for her patients. Having a particular fondness for pugs, she hopes to further her skills and knowledge regarding this special breed and improve their quality of life. In her spare time, Dr. Ming-En can be found baking and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

![]() Dr. Lee Yan Hui Dr. Yan Hui graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, United Kingdom, and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). Known as the Nobel Peace Prizes of the Global Veterinary Industry, she was awarded the International Canine Health Awards 2021 - Undergraduate Student Inspiration Award, for her achievements and aspirations in improving animal welfare. Upon graduation, she returned to Singapore and joined the Brighton Vet Care team soon after. She is currently developing the VetCompass Singapore initiative, together with a small team of like-minded veterinarians and her alma mater, the RVC. VetCompass is an animal surveillance programme that collects de-identified clinical records from participating clinics, for research purposes to improve animal welfare. Dr. Yan Hui enjoys working with clients to provide a good standard of care for their pets, and has a special interest in ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She is keen to further her knowledge in both clinical and research aspects and ultimately, provide even better healthcare to her patients. Being a regular volunteer at a dog shelter for many years, Dr. Yan Hui has developed a soft spot for our lovely Singapore Specials. During her spare time, she continues to bond with these dogs as they wait for their forever home.

![]() Dr. Ashley Ong Dr Ashley Ong graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia and moved back to Singapore where she worked at a busy 24 hour emergency hospital before joining Brighton Vet Care. She developed the ability of staying calm amidst the action and gained valuable experience in emergency medicine and critical care of companion animals. Dr Ashley is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine particularly in soft tissue surgery and aims to improve the standards of animal welfare through her career. On her days off, she enjoys a good brunch and spending time with her cat Don Don and her dog Bancho.

![]() Dr. Ball Zai Dr. Ball Zai knew from birth that he wanted to be a Caterinary Surgeon, and showed up at our doorstep as a helpless abandoned newborn kitten on his first day here on earth. He was hand-raised by the loving nursing team at Brighton Vet Care. True to his calling as Caterinary Surgeon, Ball Zai has displayed immense talent at "blood draws" (100% success rate with every human he has laid his claws on) in particular, and thus he was offered a full time position with us.

![]() Dr. Venus Alejandro-Subia Venus is our super Nurse Manager who manages our caring and dedicated team of nurses. She is the mother hen who mentors new nurses, conducts training for the entire nursing team, designs the nursing work flows and plans the nursing team schedules. Venus earned her degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of the Philippines - Los Baños in 2006. She has worked as a full time resident veterinarian in Philippines for 3 years in a busy practice of small and exotic animals before coming to Singapore. For more than 10 years she has worked as senior veterinary technician and gained knowledge and expertise in specialised surgeries, emergency and critical care, and advanced nursing techniques after undergoing several trainings, workshops and courses. These helped her developed and improved her skills to be competent and efficient in training new nurses under her tutelage. Back home she has four rascal dogs who loves to play and chased chickens and three gentle outdoor cats. Her past time includes watching movies, doing household chores and spending quality time with family and friends.

![]() Goh Yi Xian Yi Xian is our Innovation Lead who has spearheaded a lot of our projects to optimize work flow using technology. He is our go-to guy for all things tech and is always in-the-know of the newest veterinary innovations. Yi Xian graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience. Being a bit of a veterinary geek who loves to learn, Yi Xian quickly went on to also attain a Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice. Yi Xian has a love for animals since young, and this has blossomed into a passion for helping them. He wishes to help improve the bond between our furry friends and their owners through his work as a Veterinary Technician. Yi Xian has a natural curiosity for the science behind the medical and diagnostic care that animals receive, and thus he hopes to continue his education in veterinary nursing in the future. Yi Xian has a love for adventure and wildlife, and goes trekking or diving during his free time. He also wishes to have a dog in his family in the future.

![]() Millicent Goh Millie is our smiley, big-hearted nurse who is permanent foster mama to our clinic cat Ball. Millicent graduated from Australia in Certificate III in Racing (Trackriding) and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Millicent (or Millie, as she's known to us) has always had a love for animals when she was younger and wanted to work with them her whole life. In her free time, Millie enjoyed visiting the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) to spend time with the animals there giving them baths and cuddles. She also found a great sense of peace and joy when she was volunteering at Dog’s Refuge Home and Riding for Disabled by interacting with the animals and the people. Millie enjoys outdoor activities such as horse riding, hiking and trekking. She loves spending time with nature and discovering new places and new people. Millie has had a variety of pets growing up and now she currently has 2 beautiful Labradors by the name Russel and Keeper whose favourite hobby is eating.

![]() Alicia Ang Alicia is in charge of all the beautiful pictures you see on our Facebook and Instagram. Alicia graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Technology in 2012 and went to pursue a degree in Marketing and Finance with Murdoch University. She has an interest in working with animals of all sizes and have worked with animals ranging from horses to mice. Alicia is currently pursuing her interest in pet grooming. During her free time, she enjoys nature photography. Alicia has a toy poodle by the name of Dobby which she adopted and dedicates her time to.

![]() Benzley Lee Benzley graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience in 2017 and is currently pursuing the Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice. Caring for his family pets since a young age had nurtured within him a love for animals. Benzley strives to care for everyone's pets with passion and dedication. He believes that quality patient care begins from home, and hopes to help pet owners make informed decisions through client education. Benzley has a deep interest in wildlife, and enjoys exploring nature and learning more about it. He also has a passion for e-sports and spends much of his free time practising DotA 2, and hopes to compete alongside his friends someday.

![]() Dr Joy Monsanto Joy earned her degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of the Philippines-Los Baños in 2016. She worked 1 year at Cargill Inc. as the Toll Dressing Coordinator Veterinarian, and 2 years as a full time resident veterinarian in one of the busiest animal hospital in the Philippines before coming to Singapore. Joy enjoys learning new things like skating and baking, and wishes to learn a new language as well. She likes hiking and discovering new places which serves tasty foods.

![]() Sabrina Burgos Sabrina graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2021 with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience. Sabrina loves spending time with her friends and her pets, a sassy Japanese Spitz named MJ and a quirky hamster named Sitaw. She has a deep love of animals and has been surrounded by them growing up, from having cats and dogs and running around in her relative’s farm back in Philippines. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and volunteering in many different organisations, like Riding for the Disabled.

![]() Cherie Ng Cherie graduated with a diploma in Veterinary Bioscience from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2022, and is currently pursuing their Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice. From a young age, she’s always been fond of animals, which naturally pushed her to pursue a career where she can work with them daily. She sweats and tolls for her 4 pets at home - 2 hams and 2 cats.
