Dr. Ball Zai
Caterinary Surgeon
(Katong)

Dr. Ball Zai knew from birth that he wanted to be a Caterinary Surgeon, and showed up at our doorstep as a helpless abandoned newborn kitten on his first day here on earth. He was hand-raised by the loving nursing team at Brighton Vet Care.

True to his calling as Caterinary Surgeon, Ball Zai has displayed immense talent at "blood draws" (100% success rate with every human he has laid his claws on) in particular, and thus he was offered a full time position with us.

Pluto - Brighton Vet Care

Pluto
Part-time Front Desk
(Meow & Greet)
(Bukit Timah)

Pluto originally applied for a full time position with us after his previous employer left the country, but he slept on the job so much that his is now more of a part-time role as front-of-house. He considers his full time position to be Sleeping Guardian of the Back. Like many of us, Pluto made poorer decisions regarding diet and exercise in his earlier years, and is now on a constant weight loss regime to reverse that.

When he is in the mood, Pluto can be seen meowing and greeting customers and patients alike at our front desk. His rotund appearance and easy-going nature charms every one he meets but on his end Pluto is known to be quite unimpressed by canine friends who come up to close!

Lady Poppy

Lady Poppy
Caterinary Therapist
(Serangoon Gardens)

Our veterinary staff need TLC and therapy too, so Poppy was a welcome addition to our team as a full time therapist since 2022. Poppy was once a stray who was found hiding in a drain, but when the Brighton team met Poppy we found that she was born for this role. She was offered a full time position and forever home at Brighton Vet Care on the spot. Poppy started work that very same day and has never looked back since.

Poppy has a special interest in providing sitting-on-your-lap therapy. She strongly believes that the best way for veterinary professionals to relieve stress is to sayang cats, and will gladly receive sayangs at any time of the day for any staff in need.
